Charged me a $200 non-refundable fee to apply (OUTRAGEOUS! $50 application, $150 holding), and denied my application the same day. It was like pulling teeth to even get an answer as to why I was denied, and still pushed me off to the company that did the report. Then told me I was welcome to apply AGAIN (another $50) if I was able to dispute the claim. The fun part about this is that the company they use forced me down an automated system that takes a minimum of 10 business days to respond, with up to a month waiting time.
I have never been convicted of ANY crimes and have excellent credit (It was over 780 the day before I applied). They would still not tell me exactly why I was denied, just that it was the background check. So here I am, despite having read their application requirements in FULL and having made certain that I would qualify before applying, denied. They still refuse to tell me what caused the denial or give me any indication as to why. Disputing this claim is similar to disputing a copyright claim on youtube: Impossible to reach anyone!!!!
Not only this, but they will not hold the unit to allow me to dispute the claim DESPITE paying a large enough fee to cover any lost rent for an entire week. These people are absolutely outrageous and would not even allow me to talk to a manager.
